Snapmaker Luban is a free, open source CAM software committed to software services that allow full controls over 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting, and CNC carving capabilities.
I used the Straight Groove V-bit to complete the Rotary Module CNC Carving a few days ago, and everything was almost perfect. My material is wood with a diameter of 50cm. When the Straight Groove V-bit goes deep into the center of the wood, because the radius of the wood exceeds the length of the flute, the wood touches the shaft and generates a lot of friction and noise, causing the 3-jaw Chuck to loosen. The diameter of 3-jaw Chuck Inward-clamping of Rotary Module can reach 60CM. The above problem may be more obvious. Is there a solution?
The only negative point is that the machine makes loud noise, other than that it’s fantastic!
I honestly have no complaints! I bought the Snapmaker 2.0, enclosure and rotary 4th axis to run off the wall projects while I was carving my main orders by hand. In two months the orders I have completed with the Snapmaker have payed the entire purchase price of the machine and accessories, while I continue my hand carved items. I have effectively tripled my work force with this purchase.
Been using this machine for over a year now and it is just amazing.
Great building quality and great results.
I had to contact customer service two weeks back because of a problem with my printer. It took less than 24 hours before they replied.
Tracy really helped me out with clear instructions on how to find the problem. It took less than a week after we found the problems until I had the replacement parts in my hands. Now the printer works perfect again.
Keep up the awesome work. 😁
Works really well. Need to sell stock so I can make more stuff
This machine is so versatile. I love using the 3D Printer head and the prints come out looking good. I have had a few failed prints, but that is all due to the learning curve. One of my favorite features of the Snapmaker 2.0 is my ability to modify it and customize it. It helps to teach you the in's and outs of your craft.
I also love the laser engraver and can't wait for the new rotary tool coming out in July! The possibilities are endless and you are only limited by your imagination!
The Snapmaker 2.0 is the first time I have ever 3D printed or CNC carved. Thanks to the resources that come with the machine, the official forum, and lots of YouTube videos, I feel like I have a really through understanding of the 3D printing and CNC functions (I haven’t tried the laser yet). The Snapmaker is just so sleek and user friendly in it’s design. The Luban software is easy to use and allows for a lot of customization. I have only had one problem with the machine - the cord to the heated bed frayed and stopped working. I talked to Tracy in customer service and they were very friendly and helpful. They sent me a new heated bed, which arrived very quickly! I just did a 38 hour 3D print and everything is like new! I highly recommend this product!
The unit was packed in the same manner it was advertised, every component in its own individual box neat and clean. Very clear assembly instructions manual I was able to assemble the unit with my 13 years old son in under 30 minutes... Strange it was bought as a gift for him several month earlier and it happens that it got delivered on his birthday so it really made his day. Since then he has been enjoying printing models on it without any issues.
Thank you SnapMaker Team, it’s a 5 Star Machine.
I bought Snap Maker 2.0 A350 it is really amazing device I m using it for my project it has great quality
The hardware is amazing. It was packaged really well and went together perfectly. I've had a chance to use the printer and engraver and thus far both modules perform as expected. Using the included software is a bit of a bear. There are no instructions and often the preview of more complex 3D designs fails. I recently upgraded to the newest "stable" release and it looked like some problems have been fixed. Problem is that after working with it for a little while, all of the settings disappeared. I tried deleting the program and reinstalling multiple times, no luck. I had to resort to using an old version with all its flaws to the my current project. Hopefully continued software development will bring the software into linewith the high level of quality seen in the hardware.
I absolutely love this thing. being able to dream up and turn something into reality is mind blowing.
I had been contemplating a 3D printer purchase for quite a while when I came across the SnapMaker 2.0. I'm the type of person that over investigates a product before buying it. I wasn't disappointed. The ability to 3D print, Laser and do CNC milling with less than a 5 minute changeover time is great. The machine is very well built and robust enough to handle everything from hobbyists to prototyping. I'm looking forward to new add-ons and capabilities that will keep this a great buy for many years.
I’ve had so much fun creating with the snapmaker 2.0 and I find myself seeing things at stores and online... thinking “I can make that”!
The machine is great. Sturdy manufacture and modular design make it a pleasure to use. There is a disturbing noise when the build plate rolls back quickly that I worry about but my projects are turning out well. The Luban software is good but fairly limited. I look forward to the rotary unit.
This is my second Snapmaker and the increased build volume from original snapmaker makes a tremendous difference. Even with the extended Z Axis on Snapmaker Original the 2.0 is a night and day difference. I also havent had any issues with print not sticking to build plate like I was with Original. Great printer!!! I would definitely recommend. Things I would want to see in a version 3.0...
Even Larger print volume with a Dual Extruder
Who We Are
The success on Kickstarter rewards is just the beginning of our journey. We are determined to make such fabrication tools as 3D printers, laser engravers, and CNC carvers more accessible with higher quality, lower price, and better user experience.
The Snapmaker is a hybrid 3D printer, laser etcher, and CNC cutter all in one machine. This isn't the first hybrid we've tested, and while hybrids are capable of doing all the tasks they advertise, they tend to do so with compromises. But with the Snapmaker, I still found it to be a great little printer.
Performing an admirable job across three distinct functions, the Snapmaker is a maker’s dream tool for small-scale work. There are better individual tools that cost less than the Snapmaker’s $799, but few, if any, that challenge it for 3D printing, laser engraving and CNC carving all in one.
The Snapmaker 3-in-1 3D printer doesn’t pretend to be anything it is not. The presentation and ease of assembly are testament to a company who is clear in their objective, to provide an entry level and affordable solution for those seeking an introduction to not only 3D printing, but the broader world of Makers.
It's the best 3D printer packaging I've seen in my life, and I've used many 3D printers over the last years. The assembly process was really easy. Even a friend found it easy, and she didn’t have any previous experience with 3D printing.
