With the Snapmaker U1 PEI Steel Plate, prints release easily once the plate cools to room temperature. Simply flex the plate slightly to detach the model. This design not only saves time but also minimizes scratches on the platform, helping extend its lifespan.

Note: Other slicer settings may need optimization based on your model and filament type. For filaments like PETG, PC, PA, ABS, and ASA, applying glue improves adhesion and acts as a release agent to protect the PEI surface and prevent plate damage during part removal.
Before Printing
• If the plate has fingerprints or smudges, wash it with dish soap and warm water to achieve optimal print quality.
After Printing
• If a model adheres too tightly to the plate (common with TPU), apply alcohol around the contact area to penetrate and weaken the adhesion before removing the model. Do not force or pry the model off, as this can damage both the model and the plate.
Daily Maintenance
• Dust and oils will degrade first-layer adhesion. Regularly wash the plate with warm water and dish soap to maintain optimal performance.
